Through the Eyes of a Transporter

I posted about the group HelpSaveOne.org and the animals on death row that they do their best to save. I was forwarded this in an email and it touched my heart so I just wanted to share it with everyone because there are so many people no involved in the rescue process that think “it’s just a job”. What they don’t seem to realize is the tug of the heart string and the emotional wreckage that comes out of leaving animals behind knowing that their will be death and not that “happy ending” everyone wants to believe.

The endless phone calls, the multiple emails, pulled in many directions, time restraints and pressures, to know so many animals depend on you.

To drive to the hell holes of the “land of free” more like the land of euthanasia.

To walk up and down the halls, 100’s of dogs looking at me “are you here for me?”

Having to tell so many of them sorry, I stop and pet each one, some of them tug so deeply at my heart, that I call many of my rescue friends to beg them for room, and when I have to leave them behind I cry and tell them I will try for next time, most of the time there is no next time, the ones that make the ride show there appreciation in their eyes and with lots of kisses.

This is for ones I leave behind I AM SORRY.

For those who ask what time will I be there, I will get there when I get there, I have so many to say goodbye to.

Kill Shelters… an everday reality

This is what irresponsible pet ownership, over breeding, greed, and heartlessness does to animals. It happens everyday. It’s getting worse, not better. Too many animals are being killed, and for what? Because puppies and kittens are so cute? What happens when they’re older and not so cute? They end up in kill shelters. They die alone and in pain and empty. God bless the souls of those whose job it is to kill all these animals, I would never do it. EVER.

Can you save just one?

Please give these deathrow pups a chance. There is no reason for senseless killing. Please save these poor babies.

Pitbull Set On Fire

Please sign this petition and pass it on. Justice needs to be served and this type of action needs to be STOPPED. There’s no reason and no excuse for treatment like this. It’s disgusting.

Absolutely SICK

This little girl….I have no words. Seriously. Who in the world does stuff like this? This little girl needs serious help. She is very disturbed. And what is really crazy about the whole thing, that dog would be loyal even after treatment like that. God bless that dog and it’s owner.

Sickest girl in Britain

A DOG was filmed being beaten and kicked in a sickening attack – by a girl aged TWELVE.

The schoolgirl was seen kneeing, slapping and stamping on stunned springer spaniel Jasper in the 13-minute film.

She whipped him with his lead, then stood on his tail with one leg while kicking him with the other.

The girl is seen kicking the pup 14 times, kneeing it 26 times and hitting it with its lead eight times. She slaps it 17 times and stamps on it ten times.

Last night Jasper’s owner Ray Green, in his 60s, choked back tears after seeing the horrific film. Mr Green, who uses a mobility scooter, had let the girl – the daughter of a close pal – take the 18-month-old dog for walks.

But after seeing the video he said she would never walk Jasper again.

Mr Green, of Keighley, West Yorks, said: “I’ve seen enough.

“I can’t believe it. Jasper is a playful thing and is well-treated.

“She was supposed to be teaching him to walk on a lead. What she did is not right. I am really shocked.”

The girl’s family were stunned when they saw the video – and revealed they had thought that she was an “animal lover”. The family has a cat – and had planned to buy the girl a puppy.

Her stunned dad shook his head in disbelief after seeing the film with Mr Green and said: “I don’t understand where this has come from.

Grounded

“She loves animals. She walks a few people’s dogs. A man down the road said she’d end up a vet.

“She’ll not be getting a dog now. I can’t believe what I have just seen.”

He said he would be talking at length to his daughter – who he said would be “grounded”. The attack was filmed by a neighbour in a field near his home. The neighbour, who asked not to be named, said he filmed it as evidence after seeing previous abuse.

He said: “I’d seen her jerk his lead before but nothing like this. I couldn’t believe it. It looked like torture.

“The dog was cowering. It tried to defend itself but she just punched it hard. She should be banned from having a pet for at least ten years.

“In a few years she might be a babysitter and who knows what she might do. I couldn’t believe it was able to walk after all she had put it through.

“It must have been bruised all over. I hope the authorities take some action.”

Hi Piter

I started this blog to bring out the stories that make me angry and keep me from sleeping at night. It hurts my heart so much to know that one living being can hurt and harm another living being whether it’s animal or human. It seems that in the media the only stories that are brought to light are the ones that involve negativity against a certain breed. The other stories of abuse, neglect, and irresponsibility are just pushed aside because no one wants to hear that, they want to hear about big names and accusations. I’m a pitbull mother and I feel that they are given a bad name. The only pitbull stories broadcasted are the ones where they attack, not where they were attacked by someone else. I just want people to know what’s really going on. There are so many stories to be heard and so many stories that are ignored.

Justice 4 Karley

I wish that I had come across this sooner. This is such a horrific and disgusting story. I can’t believe that a human being would do something to an animal, but we are now living in a different world in a different time when there are sick people living right next door. Karley didn’t deserve this and I grieve for her family and their loss. Please read the story and sign the petition. There is no reason that everyones taxes should pay for this murderers retirement after such a heinous crime. Pray for Karley’s family also.

Ban the Deed and NOT the Breed

Attention Dare County/Outer Banks

any of you out there with pitbulls we need to stand up for our dogs before they are banned and there is nothing we can do about it. Stand up now before your family member is taken from you and MURDERED for being a pit. Sitting around and doing nothing is exactly what provides our clueless commissioners more power.
