GUILTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by la reina de chanclas on August 29, 2008

The verdict is in and Ray Stanfill has been found guilty of murdering Gage. He will be sentenced in September. Finally Justice for Gage has been served. I hope that Mr Stanfill is punished to the full extent of the law.

Congrats to Gage’s family, it’s been a long time coming. Our prayers are still with you all, but I hope you find comfort in the fight that you have put forth for Gage and all the other animals being abused on a daily basis.

Please Read – Caution

Posted by la reina de chanclas on August 26, 2008

I found a post on craigslist and wanted to forward it on.

Please use caution when adopting out or giving away pitbull puppies or adult dogs. People are taking them, mainly the free ones or the ones with small fees and they are turning them over to shelters that gas or euth that don’t give pitbulls a chance. They are telling them that they are human aggressive or that they are their dogs and they can’t keep them. They know that the dogs will be killed.

So to anyone who is giving away their pups or adopting out their pups please use caution. These people who think that pitbulls should be banned are taking it upon themselves to get them all out of the way.

If they can’t get the BSL passed on pits then they’ll take care of it themselves.

As a pit mother I know how wrong they are. I don’t know what it’s going to take to make people realize that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. EVER!

Justice For Gage

Posted by la reina de chanclas on August 23, 2008

Well it was quicker than I thought but the court date for Gage is Monday 8/25/2008. For all updates check www.justiceforgage.com

here’s a message from Sherry:

Hi all myspace friends…Gage’s trial date is finally HERE….This Monday 8/25/08 Gage’s killer will face charges of “Aggravated Felony Animal Abuse” for the shooting death of Gage on 3/12/08.

I have created a Graphic( which is below) and am asking from my heart:

Will you please change your profile picture (to the one below) starting today to show your support…For Gage and all victims of animal cruelty….If you would please leave the photo up through the courtdate I would be so thankful and we will post an updated bulletin once the decision is handed down..

Please keep Gage’s family in your prayers as Monday nears. Pray that Mr. Stanfill receive the maximum penalty for this horrific act of animal cruelty (MURDER)…

I and Gage’s family thank you so much for all your continued support….It has been a very rough 5 months for them and to me there isn’t any form of punishment that could be harsh enough for what this man has done to this family…He took a very precious family member from them. Gage was a son, a brother and a friend to so mny and I wish everyday that I had the power to bring Gage back to this wonderful family but we all know that is not possible. So, we fight in Gage’s honor and memory..We fight for the life that no one had the right to take away…And we forever hold Gage in our hearts, for when it is all said and done, no one can take away the memories..Not even Ray Stanfill!!!!

If anyone needs the code for the photo, please message me…

Thank you very much….

BSL Breed Ban IQ Test

Posted by la reina de chanclas on August 21, 2008

1.
If you were the sheriff in your town and you learned that Toyotas
were disproportionally involved in more accidents than any other model,
would you:

(a) ban Toyotas and confiscate the Toyota of anyone caught driving one,
or (b) arrest the drivers responsible for those accidents?

2.
Which course of action in Question 1 do you think would: (a)
inconvenience the fewest number of people, (b) be the more efficient use
of taxpayer dollars, and (c) be more effective in preventing future
accidents involving Toyotas?

3.
If your answer to Question 1 was (a) — ban Toyotas — and the
sheriff’s department learned that, by a statistical quirk, drivers of
confiscated Toyotas were perpetrating further accidents by driving, say,
Hondas, would you then ban Hondas? If not, why not?

4.
If your answer to Question 3 was, “Ban Hondas, too, dammit, something
HAS to be done,” then would you propose a ban on ALL car models with
names ending in “a,” such as Kias and Mazdas, reasoning that all these
brands are pretty much bred for the same purpose? If not, why not? If
so, how would you deal with car brands that end in the SOUND of “a,”
such as Chevrolet?

5.
Are you beginning to understand (a) that because most of the tens of
millions of pet dogs are NOT registered, “breed” cannot be defined in a
meaningful way; (b) that miscreants employ pit bulls, German Shepherds,
Rottweilers, Dobermans, Akitas, Great Danes — that is, whichever dog is
handy –as personal tools of terrorism; (c) that law enforcement
authorities could waste inordinate amounts of time (and, therefore,
taxpayer dollars) policing a breed ban, adding to their jobs a task
perhaps even more meaningless than enforcing jaywalking laws; (d) that
the people most likely affected by a breed ban — that is, those
inconvenienced, harrassed and likely to suffer damage — are the 99.
9% majority of utterly innocent dogs and people; and (e), most important,
that breed bans do ESSENTIALLY NOTHING to address the real problem:
Human scumbags who abuse animals?

Key: If your answer to any part of Question 5 is “no,” I’m afraid you
have flunked. Please go back and reconsider your responses.
Hint: The answer to the question, “What shall we do about the bank robber who got
away on a bicycle?” is not: Ban bicycles.

Real answer: If your dog hurts someone, you — not the dog — should be
responsible. Anti-cruelty and anti-dog-fighting laws already exist.
Tell your mayor, and city or county or provincial council to up the current
penalties, and insist that judges enforce those penalties against
lawbreakers.

A must see

Posted by la reina de chanclas on August 20, 2008

Here’s a link to the story

Make sure you check out Animal Planet at 10pm eastern 9pm central on Sunday August 24th. They are showing the story of the Michael Vick dogs that have been rehabilitated. It’s very exciting. Well to me anyway. The name of the show is Animal Witness: The Michael Vick Case

Just goes to show that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. I’m so happy these babies got a happy ending.
