A Voice For The Innocent

1 out of 10 dogs finds a forever home…how can we save the homeless?

How could they? Help this guy find a good home.

I live out in the BFE. My neighbors live out of state but their dogs live beside me. They’re hunting dogs. They’re loud and dirty and sweet as they can be. The guys that own them take care of them for the most part. They have automatic feeders and water bowls. They have barrels that they sleep in. The majority of us have heard of what happens when a hunting dog is no longer needed. It’s so sad. If you were a good hunter you wouldn’t need a dog would you? Why would you harm an animal? Animals have feelings. Animals have instinct.

This fella was passed along myspace in some rescue bulletins. He needs help and there is no reason for him to even be in there. He’s an old soul and a sweet boy. How could anyone ever harm such a beauty? Here’s the message that’s circulating….can you help?

This is a very sad story about a wonderful Senior Redtick Coonhound who was shot in the head and left to die! Poncho has to have a drain tube in the side of his face to help drain the infection from where he was shot in the head. He is a frail senior hound who is nothing but skin and bone. He has shown some improvement but still has a long hard road ahead of him. How could anyone do such a thing to such a wonderful old Fellow. Poncho has stolen my heart and I just love this old man!! Being a senior dog is hard enough without all the heartache this fellow has had to Indore. His scars are not healed, his will to live is strong!! Help save this wonderful old fellow and show him that there is love out there for him. He walks with a head tilt that may never change. He may never recover completely but can live a fairly normal life if given a chance.

I’m not sure what happened to him. I last time I heard he was still under medical observation. I hope and pray that he got a good home. I’ll ask around and see what I can find out.
